In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. Schrade 5UH IHEA Limited edition

Post by hangwaiter »

Hi all, recently I was able to get a Schrade 5UH folder , IHEA limited edition . It came without packaging, no sheath and no IHEA collectors pin.
Stamped: "Schrade + USA Ltd"
It features a small disc inset in the left handle, denoting "Schrade Cutlery" and "limited edition".
Any Idea when this could have been produced and as to what number the IHEA Edition was limited?
Apparently those knives were produced between 1979 and 2004, however so far I could not find any information on the production run for IHEA
Any help would be appreciated.
Condition is excellent/unused with a tiny rust pit on the liner next to the bolster.
Thanks

Here is some info on the 5UH, taken from the 2003 Schrade Products Guide.
The 5UH was new in 2003.
It shows the same tang stamp as yours.
It came in either a gift box or a clampack.
