I’m hoping someone on here might know who made this knife. I haven’t had any luck researching because I can’t clearly read the stamp on the blade.
Thanks!

Re: Antique Knife Identification
It's an Italian made knife.
The bottom line of the stamp is marked Scarperia, which is considered by some the knife making capitol in Italy.
Not familiar with the makers name, try to find a list of Italian knife makers and maybe you can match it up.

Re: Tang Stamps Charts
Ok, here's one that I haven't seen mentioned in this thread yet. I haven't looked too hard for info, but I usually don't have to look very far. This one is marked R. BURNETT over EDINBURGH on the tang with what appears to be a barrel on the reverse. I assume Edinburgh is referring to Scotland. The handle appears to be buffalo horn and it has the words "magnetic knife" along the length of the blade.
Can anyone save me a few minutes and tell me about this?

Please send additional pictures of the entire knife. Tang stamps are only a small part of identification.StarMead wrote: ↑Wed Jul 02, 2025 2:36 pm Ok, here's one that I haven't seen mentioned in this thread yet.
