Case Tested Dog Grooming Knife

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Case Tested Dog Grooming Knife

Post by knifeaholic »

As far as I know, the only American companies to produde the "dog grooming" pocket knife were Remington (fairly common) and Case (very rare). Case made some in the late Tested and early XX eras. Here is one I found hiding in a mixed lot of knives on eBay. LArge blade is etched STEVENS DOG STRIPPER. Case Tested mark and green bone handles.

Thanks for posting, Steve. Do you think another knife's outgassing caused the rust?
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

You're going to look awfully silly with that knife sticking out of your @#$. -Clint Eastwood, High Plains Drifter
