Old JA Henckels Pocket Knife

I was wondering if anyone here was familiar with this flea market find, I found today. I'm familiar with JA Henckels modern cooking knives. I also know they made some vintage pocket knives. I've not seen one like this before! Any help would be appreciated in determining the manufactoring era of this pocket knife....I would like to indentify it before starting to clean it up! Thank You for any assistance!

Determining a date of manufacture for Henckels knives is not easy. The book J.A. Henckels Knives by Neal Punchard says the J.A. HENCKELS over GERMANY stamp on the knife was used from around 1900 until 1975, so that doesn’t help. He says that to a trained eye an estimated date can be determined from subtle differences in the image of the “twins” mark, which isn’t clear in your photo. It’s a shame one of the blades is broken. There are a few collectors of German-made knives here on AAPK so they may recognize the pattern and have more info. Neal Punchard is also a member here. You may have to wait until they see this.
