I have no idea. It was purchased in Kyoto, Japan. Could it be old Japanese flag? Can not find this stamp anywhere..

Interesting knife, what holds the two tools in place?

What is that notch for near the blade pivot?

Can you post a photo looking straight down on the back where the two tools and glass cutter sits?
