Early, Joseph, Rogers and sons Sheffield Hunter?
Early, Joseph, Rogers and sons Sheffield Hunter?
Here is what I believe is an early Joseph, Rogers, and sons Hunting knife, but I really know . Anyone able o help identify this knife.Im confused. I was only able to search one other similar knife but was not brass with inlay? it was horn or bone.

Looks like a counterfeit knife to me. "Rodgers" is spelled wrong, the star and Maltese cross trademark on the tang is wrong, and the handle does not have the right look or fit and finish.

Fake made in India. Most of these are post war and there are lots of variations, most but not all having misspelled Rodgers and all having spurious crosses and stars. One can also find similar fake Rodgers fixed blade knives similarly marked.
