Case knife ID please
Picked this Case up recently and was wondering if anyone could ID it as far as type, name, year, any worth etc.
Thanks,
Dan

Sodbuster or Sodbuster Jr, depending on the frame size.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Yep, it’s a Sodbuster Jr.
Not worth much at all with the blade wear. If you look at newer Sodbusters you can see that the blade is severely worn.

Re: Case knife ID please
Sodbusters are among the most inexpensive knives Case makes. There are some “higher end” models made with premium handle materials, but yours is not one of those. The overall condition and significant blade loss make its value near nil. Put it in your pocket - looks like it still has some use left, but it’s not a collectable. according to the sellers at my local flea market they would say: "Well its old, it has to be worth a lot!" ...
Then they would show you the cost of a new one on ebay and want about 10% less that for the one they are selling .....

You’re exactly right, TOPDOG! Last time I talked to a seller, he went on and on about how this one was handmade! I told him, to a certain degree, they’re all handmade! And, of course, his price was ridiculous. Are there actually people at flea markets who’ll pay these prices?GSPTOPDOG wrote: ↑Thu Oct 24, 2024 8:16 pmR.S.Railsplitter wrote: ↑Tue Oct 22, 2024 7:09 pm Yep, it’s a Sodbuster Jr.
