Regrinds

Member eveled and I (and perhaps others)share a bad habit of regrinding blade profiles on user knives and EDCs to better fit our uses. He’s into loomfixers, I’m a stockman guy.

Anybody else do the same?

Nice mod Parker. Recurves aren’t easy.

Thanks. The sheepsfoot blade was pretty worn on that one, pulled the tip toward the centerline more than I liked.

Better shape on my EDC 858, even added a small swedge. Still a work in progress, but closer to my intentions.

Marigold never got to leave the house.
That was just a franken-project for me to see what I could do with one of those blades

These look top notch. Have you, or body else reading this, done any more screwdriver blades? I'd love to see them.

I commissioned an electricians knife rebuild and I remember seeing this post. I sought it out again to see these reprofiles to give my buddy an idea of how to go about it. It's my pen pal I made a post for in the upper room. I gave him a project to keep him busy and keep challenging him. Also, I'd love to carry and use his handiwork. He's been making nice wood scales and likes to work on blades.

Not trying to plagiarize your work glenn, just share some inspiration with an aspiring knife mechanic, for your work is indeed inspiring

Here it is. Showed up yesterday. I love it. He went with this modified coping blade reprofile. It's very functional. The jimping is very comfortable, but he admittedly had issues with it. His hands shake too bad. Poor guy.
