Id like to quote an email from him that I received this morning. It'll help you to continue to get a sense of who he is.
"I had to go to the va doc today left leg is swollen and infected now on heavy antibiotics...also told from the last cat scan I had terrible arthritis from my neck to my tail bone plus the injuries I had, I knew I hurt more lately I'm still not going to take their pain pills doc said she did not like them either. What a pain in butt it an'it going to stop me hooyah it is not allowed to hurt in the knife shop... Sorry about all the whining."
I edited some out at the ... but the bold letters was his formatting. Medical discharge 53 years ago but you can't take the soldier out of this man.
His wife is recovering great from her surgery. I joked with Lee, in an attempt to assuage some of his anxiety for his wife, that she'd be ready to go in a week but that he'd have to hold her back for another 3 weeks or so. She made him breakfast, in spite of his protests, with one arm, on day 3. She's an absolute rock.
Lee hasn't mentioned much about his health, other than the aforementioned, but he seems to be doing better. He's out in the shop and enjoying life. Shirley has started her own little knife collection and asked him one day "when are we going knife hunting next?"

I dunno how he did it fellas, or that it could be done, but Lee wins! The knife collectors dream come true.

These are a few of Lee's restoration projects. More wins. No before pictures, but I know that these were rust piles to start with. His next project he says is a knife that came from the Hobbyist...
