Can blade wobble be cured with a new pin ?

I have a XX 1940-64 63047 stockman , still some decent life left in it , but has a slight blade wobble on the clip and a touch on the sheepsfoot , i dont want to try tapping on it like ive seen done , so wandering if it was repined with a new pin by someone that knew what they were doing would cure that ? Thanks

I think that repinning is definitely the best way to go. I use very thin feeler gauges as spacers ( also called "slackeners") inserted between the blade tang and liner on each side of the blade tang before I start peening the new pin. When I'm satisfied with the peening job, I pull out the spacers and check for any wobble. Using this method, I can do all the peening I want and don't have to worry about over-tightening the bolsters and loosing the blade snap. If by chance there is a slight bit of wobble a very light tap or two on each side does the job. Hope this helps.
