Celluloid & Composition Split Handle By Fairmount (Camillus)

Just got this knife with handles that are split black composition and yellow swirl celluloid. The front and back handles are identical and it has PATENT APPLIED FOR on it. Does anyone have a knife like it? Any with a confirmed patent number on it? Thanks. :)

Verry nice.

Seems it fine shape too.

Patent MAY be related to method of assembly.
It looks like the handle rivets serve as the pivot also.
I don't know who did that first.

Camco will probably know more.

Fairmount brand knives were made by Camillus. The name comes from a settlement in the Town of Camillus that is 2 or 3 miles east of the Camillus factory.
The knife looks like a #80 pattern. I do not know what the Patent Applied For means.
