LionSteel torx screws

Post by drcvaught »

I'm making some replacement scale covers for my LionSteel Shufflers (if you want replacement scales you have to make your own). Does anyone know what size torx screws those folks use? They evidently don't sell replacement screws either. Using my metric calibrator, the closest I can get in length is 4 for the bolster end and 5 for the back. The shaft diameter is 1.6(ish) as near as I can measure, but there's no way to measure the threads. I've made a "best guess" order three times and still haven't gotten ones that fit. So, any help would be greatly appreciated.

OK. Third time's the charm. I (accidently) hit the correct size. They are M2 304 4mm and 5mm. (At least that's what fits my Shufflers -- but don't take it as gospel.) The scales use pan head, and the bolster is flat head. I'm putting flat heads on the scales I'm making because they look nicer. I'm posting this because I may not be the only person who would like to have extra screws. After all, half the fun of owning shufflers is fiddling with them.

My "proof of concept". These are fairly crude, being constructed of things I found lying around, but an interesting way to while away a rainy afternoon. And in Pittsburgh we have a lot of those.
