Anyone have a Cattaraugus with a nail file "blade"?

The Cattaraugus Cutlery Company was started by John Champlin and his son Tint in 1882. It was first incorporated under the name J.B.F. Champlin and Son as a wholesale distribution company based in Little Valley, New York. The business proved to be a successful endeavor, and it soon branched into a knife production company named Cattaraugus.

Anyone have a Cattaraugus with a nail file "blade"?

Post by Wudidiz »

I acquired a Cattaraugus with a nail file and am wondering if anyone else had a model with one. I am still trying to find out what model I have. Thanks.

I looked in my Cattaraugus catalog and there are more than a few models
that have a nail file. How many blades and tools? What is the closed length?
What material are the handles, scales or covers? Any pictures?

Looks like Mumbleypeg found the model. It appears to be a 32689.

You’re welcome. Glad I was able to find it. BTW I see no sign that it is “worm groove” bone - from the picture it looks like standard jigged bone to me, but I don’t have the knife in hand like you do. ::shrug::
