Links not working for customer

Links not working for customer

I have a customer that called me and asked if certain sellers were no longer selling. His links that he uses aren’t working. He was hospitalized for a couple of months and when he came back to the site to look at inventory he can’t find certain sellers anywhere. He can’t access the “shop by seller” drop down menu, it isn’t on his screen. When I guided him to look by brand for Marbles, it didn’t include Kennedy Knives and Gary has just put up a half dozen Marbles knives. But none of Kennedy Knives appears when you search for that brand. I hoped he could get to at least one knife and then hit the link to see all knives listed by certain sellers but it doesn’t work.
When I search by brand, Kennedy Knives Marbles knives don’t appear in the search results. So something is fouling up here.

Hi Mark,

I just finished digging into this a bit.

Looks like Garry's store in vacation mode until the 18th. That is why his items are not showing in the store categories, search, etc. They will return when vacation mode is turned off. His store was not supposed to be displaying on the store drop down menu while on vacation, but it was because of an oversight from a recent software modification. This has been corrected.

The only place a customer can shop by seller via drop down menu is on wide screen devices from the store pages. Small screen devices have a "hamburger" style menu where customers can shop by seller. I'll try to add a screenshot of those locations when I get a chance.

I also plan to include a shop by seller menu on all pages soon that will be located just under the logo where the other "Shop AAPK Stores by:" menu elements are located.

As to why some links that your customer have aren't working is unknown to me at the moment.

If I could see one or more of the links, it would help greatly.

Thanks Bryan. I doubt that I can get a screen shot of what he is talking about. He isn’t very tech savvy. I think he had a quick link that disappeared that had one of the stores “luvstag” on it. And I know nothing about quick links that you can set up on this site. I’ve learned to navigate to the things I know and need to use and that’s about it. He isn’t a member either and maybe that has something to do with it. Although he has been around AAPK for many years, he never joined.
Thank you for the quick response. I didn’t know about the vacation setting, that makes sense.
