Re: Diamond edge
Looks synthetic to me, but a cool knife.
Pocket, fixed, machete, axe, it's all good!

Re: Diamond edge
I’ve had some nice shapleighs before. This one is a solid snappy little knife. Didn’t imperial make a diamond edge too?

Re: Diamond edge
Shapleigh contracted knives from Empire, Camillus, and Schrade. Yours looks “Schrade” to me. Not aware of any made by Imperial, but it’s possible I suppose. After Shapleigh ceased operation (c 1960) some reproductions stamped Diamond Edge appeared, but I don’t think yours is one of those.

Re: Diamond edge
Mike, Imperial used the "Diamond Edge" stamping from 1967 on. By then Shapleigh was out of business, so I assume they bought the trademark, or perhaps the copyright had expired by then. At any rate, yes, there were Imperial made Diamond Edge knives sold.

Ken, you either answer or give a good link to an answer constantly on here, thank you. I have been trying to figure out how to tell the difference myself between bone & delrin.Mumbleypeg wrote: ↑Tue Feb 27, 2024 5:22 am The answer to your bone or synthetic question can be found here.https://www.allaboutpocketknives.com/kn ... hp?t=62145
