Gerber MK2

In 1939 Joseph Gerber (advertising agency owner) had custom knife maker David Murphy make 24 sets of carving knife for some of his select customers. Catalog retailer Abercrombie & Fitch saw them and was so impressed with the quality of the knives they wanted to sell them. Thus was born Gerber Legendary Blades.

I was recently at a gun show where a knife dealer had a Gerber MKll from 1978 I also have a MKll from that year. The guy was asking $475.00 for it does this sound right?

Checking ebay is the best way to figure prices, but from the ones I watch on there, if it has a sheath that’s not too off on price depending on condition.
