Sharp brand fixed blade

Here is another that I bought cheap. I claimed that I got it because Ii have a small collection of Sharp brand knives, but in reality I think that I just felt sorry for it.
The pommel was missing. The tang was forked at the end, and I think that the original was pressed on in a way that widened the fork and held the pommel on. I tried a couple of different ways to make a pommel out of brass, but that was beyond my means. Then one day I was looking at an end piece of Whitetail antler that was too short for a knife handle, and ... the rest is history!
Pictured is the sheath that I made for it as well.

I'll bet that pommel and the extra length it adds to the handle makes it very comfortable to use!

It's not where I'm at so I can't double check, but, if I recall correctly, I have the same knife, made in Japan with Western's traditional two prong tang and two pins through the pommel. I assume you put it together wth glue. In its new life yours should make a usefull unique knife.
