Early Heinrich Boker knife H.B and 1869-1880 tree stamp

Sorting through my small knives I found a small 2-bladed knife with possibly ivory handles; one blade was stamped H.B the other an early tree stamp
the larger blade is broken and the smaller one used....other than that the knife seems to be in good condition
The boker book by Neal Punchard and Ricky Ray on pg.157 indicates the tree stamp was of the 1869-1880 era and used on smaller knives
I'm not indicating that this knife is an historical artifact or valuable but I believe it to be orginal and should be studied and therefore classified
in the proper time-period showing the great craftmanship of the day!!

Fine old example! Unusual how far back the blade pin is from the bolster tip. It’s amazing craftsmanship for no electric tools and machines.

I agree the blades have a good snap.... if the blades wasn't broken the knife for it's age would be near mint!!
Do you think the handles are ivory... one side showes a little more red than the other?

I agree with Coley, that is a beautiful old "tuxedo" knife! I know next to nothing about ivory, but I am wondering if that handle material is old ivory?

P.S. You probably shouldn't tinker with it. But I hate having broken blades in my collection and it looks like there is enough left of the broken blade that it could be reprofiled into a pen blade. Just what I would do.
