My only two Queen knives

The Queen Cutlery Company manufactured knives in Titusville Pennsylvania for 96 years. The company opened its only factory there in 1919 and commenced to make some of the best US crafted cutlery you will find. Unfortunately, the Titusville manufacturing plant closed down in 2018.

My only two Queen knives

Post by Pops62 »

The smaller one I bought from a seller here a few years ago. The other knife came in a lot of knives I recently purchased. They both appear to never have been carried. I really like them.

Pops62,
Those are indeed nice little Queens! Watch out they'll grow on you.
I'm enjoying my Queens, didn't used to care much for anything but Case but over the years Queens have proved to be very interesting to me. I'm a bit confused by the new ones on the market at this time so the older ones are where my interest is, especially my old reliable #39 that should get a workout some time this deer season. No guarantees but still at the ready. ::nod::

collecting Queens can go in a lot of directions. Anything Queen offers about 45 tang stamps to collect. They made lots of models, lots of covers. Ive kinda been narrowing my collection emphasis to only Queen tang stamps but in any model, covers, etc. Thats still a lot of knives.
for me, Queen knives were never made, nor will ever be made again after Jan 10 2018. Anything stamped Queen now is a forgery. Ya know, if Case goes China, is that gonna be a Case? What do ya have if you have 100 fake Queens?? You sure dont have Queens. I collect Queen knives for thir history as well as their quality and physical interests. I china forgery with a queen stamp for 20 bucks to see what it was like. Fair, solid knife. took about 3 seconds to know it was a fake just by hand feel alone.
