Orchard Cutlery Co
Orchard Cutlery Co
I have this beautiful single blade knife with smooth bone handles whish is marked "Orchard Cutlery Co Germany" on the tang. I am unable to find any info about the knife or the company.

Nice old barlow pattern jackknife. I don’t find anything on Orchard Cutlery Co. in Goins’ Encyclopedia of Cutlery Markings. Several here have a reference book exclusively on German markings so maybe they can find it.
During the first half of the 20th century Germany wasn’t too popular in England or America, among other markets. At the time it was fairly common for German cutlery makers to stamp anglicized company names on knives made for export, so it’s possibly any if several companies made it.
