Anyone remember what this is called?

Post by knife7knut »

I remember seeing one of these on the cover of a knife magazine awhile back. No markings on either the knife or sheath.

Looks like some type of modified Ulu.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.

Levine lists a Danish maker, Marc Bjorn Carlsson who makes a similar pattern and calls in an "Integral Skinner" (3rd edition, p.379.

For what it's worth I was at the ULU factory in Anchorage a few years back. The had the same blade with several different handles and if my memory has not failed I think they called that one a "Skinner."
