Dagger military
Just picked this up today unsure about if it’s old or a reproduction.

Re: Dagger military
Looks to me more like a bayonet of some kind, with the bird's (eagle, presumably) eye designed as the release button.
The back of the handle is dead flat, which makes me think it belongs on the underside of a rifle.

Re: Dagger military
I agree with Tasky. In any event, if the spine of the blade is not sharpened it isn't a dagger. A dagger should be double edged.
Re: Dagger military
Nice find!

Definitely not a repro. I wonder what rifle it was attached to?
