I've been receiving the ACK daily notification emails for a couple of years now, Kim, and it's part of my routine to browse their knives, and even though I haven't purchased anything yet (this is partly due to their ridiculously high shipping costs to Canada) I very much enjoy seeing what's out there and available. www.knifepurveyor.com is another cool site for high-end knives if you weren't aware.

I was wondering the same thing when I saw it, John.
As-a-matter-of-fact, the guy I bought many of my autos from would install a comb blade into the body thinking it would appear better than no blade, kindda like those cheap switch-combs you see, but he still sent 2 packages, 1 with the real blade.
All the times I've received autos they've come in 2 packages, 1 with the blade alone, and 1 with the body and they all got through. When the shipping started to add up and become expensive I considered just REMOVING the blade and sending it in the same package, but it seemed to me all the Customs agent would need to do is think to themselves, "all this guy has to do is install this blade and he'll have a fully functioning prohibited automatic, so this is not "parts" and I'm seizing it", so I never took that chance. To this day I don't know how they would handle that situation.
That knife at ACK has a serrated blade so I didn't look at it for long! lol!
I have the nicest knife yet I got from Mike sitting in Customs, and since it's been there for close to a month I know it's not coming. Mike hid it inside some kind of child's toy, and although that's worked in the past it didn't wash this time, GRRR!
I did receive a really nice FACTORY made Russian auto from the "MercyBrown" AAPK store today that I'll post eventually, that he disguised inside a toy doll, and it blew right through Customs without inspection, YAAA!
What a PITA all this is, why couldn't I be attracted to totally legal slip-joints instead of highly illegal autos, jeeeez!

I just yesterday received a Russian factory made auto from Jeremy that I'll post pictures of soon.
He's a really nice guy and bends over backwards to help, and, he has some of the nicest knives I've seen.

Yah, I noticed the RPK's he has listed.
I've been buying them from Mike Kovelenko in the Ukraine and have accumulated half a dozen so far.
My most recent purchase from Mike is currently sitting in Customs waiting to be destroyed, even though he had it hidden inside a child's toy which has worked in the past. It was the nicest one so far too, GRRRR!
Mike also has a Facebook group that buys and trades auto knives, but I don't do Facebook so I deal with him via email.

I also bought 2 knives made by a Dr. in Armenia who builds them and then sends them to Le Roi Price in Florida to have exotic covers made and then back to Armenia for sale.
First pictures are of my favorite RPK, 11 1/4"/brown Bakelite covers! It has a very unique open/close system you can view in detail in "Some of my autos". This one is pretty much an assassin's knife, but for me it's just cool!
Second set of pictures are of one of my Dr.'s knives from Armenia, 11"/Camel bone covers! This knife has a unique extended lock-tab, also seen in detail in "SOMA" or in the picture of it closed. This knife virtually wants to jump out of my hand when I fire it.
The knife I just got from Jeremy is a factory made Mehtah auto, that I'll post a bit later but it's way cool too!

Every knife except for 2-hand opening slip-joints and fixed blades are classed as prohibited weapons in Canada. Ridiculous, I know!
90% of the nearly 60 autos I've bought and received have been sent to me in 2 separate packages, 1 with just the blade and 1 with the body, and once I have both packages I simply install the blades with a screw and barrel pivot. This method is successful because CDN law doesn't say anything about importing "parts" and that's how Customs considers them. This shipping loop-hole has been successful since the 80's when the EdgeCo. kit knives were popular, and it won't change until it's written into law. The other 10% are knives that can't have the blade removed, so I took the chance and hoped the package would be overlooked for inspection, and they were. I've only lost a handful to Customs, but it still hurts cuz I wanted the knives.
I've had knives that are assisted and models with "flipper" tabs but are not automatic seized because they can be opened with 1-hand.
The excuse they use is; if a LEO is arresting a perp and handcuffing them, a knife that opens with 1-hand could be deployed and injure the LEO while the other hand is being cuffed. Again, Ridiculous, I know! The truth is, it's just another way to have control over the masses, and, many of these knives can already be purchased here, just no more imports.

That's the ridiculous part, Kim, knife crime in Canada is minimal at best and those crimes that are committed are done with a kitchen knife. I personally have always thought the Customs agents just steal my knives to add to their own collections, cuz after-all, they're just human too and certainly not above breaking the law.
In my younger days I carried a knife daily, because the only real way to lose it is if one is being loud and causing trouble, otherwise they have no reason to search you. I've said this before, but I can carry my Gil Hibben 18" toothpick bowie strapped to my leg and not turn a head, but would be arrested if I had one of those tiny auto key-chain knives, go figure!
Are you telling me it took 2 educated people 10 mins.to figure out you slide the little red ruby to deploy the blade? If that's the case, you'd NEVER figure out how to open/close the RPK assassin's stiletto I posted! lol!

Living in Canada is easy, it's for folks who don't want to be or do anything, hence no ambition to be involved in crimes.
I hope you know I was teasing with my comments about opening your new knife, I certainly don't want to ruffle any feathers.
