MADI OneFlip Safety Linesman's Knife

Decided I'd show this one off while I was in my hawkbill box getting knives for the Klein Tools thread. I got this one in a lot a few years ago, and really never used it. It's sort of a hawkbill, but is designed from the ground up to "eliminate unwanted cuts while maximizing proper cutting and skinning applications" (to quote the manufacturer). The button lock is designed to make it easy to use with gloves, and I agree.

Wastach Electric is a Utah-based electrical contractor. I presume this knife is standard issue to their linemen.

Decent clip too.

Unlike most cheap home improvement store knives with "button locks", this one feels pretty sturdy, and well-made. I don't know how to sharpen the weird blade on this one, and I ended up probably being the one who blunted it (it seems like a pull-through was used by the previous owner, however).

MADI was formed by a former lineman in 2011. From the looks of this knife, it was designed by someone who knew what they were doing.

Eventually, I'm getting the standard hawkbill and drop-point versions on the same frame.

Here’s one we use for stripping cables ,we refer it as a bull knife very handy
