Tragic Event

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Tragic Event

Post by OLDE CUTLER »

Need some assistance guys. I was shooting at our local indoor pistol range this morning on lane 4 when on lane 1 a young man age 25 shot himself in the head. I did not see it happen, but was 12 feet away and saw the aftermath about 30 seconds later. A prayer for the young man and his family if you could.

I should further clarify that the young man was alive when they put him in the ambulance. I was detained for an hour to make a complete statement to the police as I was the only other shooter on the range. The police were reviewing camera footage to try to determine whether it was accidental or not. It looked absolutely horrible, but one has to hope.

Lord, you are the great physician. I ask that you give the doctor's skills and knowledge beyond their normal capabilities that they be able to repair the damage that was done to this young man's head. And Lord we ask that you, the great physician, bring the healing to his body okay and to his soul. Bring comfort and peace to this Man's family also.

OC, I'm sorry you had to be the witness to this. I pray for your peace and comfort as well.

Amen.

I am doing OK. I realize that I was in the right place at the wrong time and the decision made by the individual had nothing to do with me. Pure chance encounter. I did lose some sleep the first couple of days, but not since.
