I would like to ask your continued prayers especially for the healing of the effects from her concussion. In conversation there is no indication of any problem. She speaks fluently and is as articulate as always. In fact recently she has spoken before several groups. There is one area of the brain that remains troublesome. A considerable part of her administrative work involves the application and writing of grants for funding. This requires a significant amount of concentration and organization. Currently her brain is not cooperating in this area which the experts call the executive function of the brain.
Her mental therapist says Bev is more advanced than most of his clients in that she is aware of the difficulty. Many of his clients are not aware they have any deficit. Further, that it simply takes longer for the brain to recover fully. Her primary doctor is referring her to a neurologist just to double check things a bit.
She is not yet allowed to return to her work full time but her days are filled with visits, phone calls, chaplaincy work at the county jail, Rotary Club etc. I have often commented on her energy. It is a wonder to behold.
