Rat Cutlery
I think the best tactical blade or outdoors blade you can buy for the money is RAT Cutlery, cost vs. warranty vs. Customer service like no other,I have a RC3 as my EDC..and waiting on the RC4 release & others !

JMO...
They are nice knives...
There is also a lot of competition in that price arena.
You can get a John Greco, semi-custom, differentially heat treated, hard use knife for right at the same price point as a RAT.
So, not disparaging, just saying that there are other very fine choices at that price point.

That's the kind of recommendation I like to hear, Tony.texastonydobbs wrote:I think the best tactical blade or outdoors blade you can buy for the money is RAT Cutlery...
What do you have to say about the RAT folders?
Any pictures or opinions, anyone?

Texastony,
I noticed that Greco made some of the earlier RAT knives. I kind of wish I had picked one of those up along the line.
Hope they get the current mess squared away without hurting their business.

Yes that skinner w/Greco and the Laser strike w/Tops and the RTak w/Livesay.....all Jeff collaberations w/others and I wish I too would have snagged one of each... Only if .....Great to think back huh, that is why when Camillus had there issues I was sure to snag the blades I wanted..I learned from my mistakes....I picked up 3 BK7's,1 BK11 "necker", 1 BK1"brute"...I really wanted a BK2 but never found one w/$ I was willing to give for it, Beckers will be back but not made from the same material and the BK1 , The Brute and another will not be made with Ka-bar.

Re: Rat Cutlery
My brother Marc is a big fan of the RAT knives. Has gone as far as calling up the company and talking to the owner about his knives.
“The two women exchanged the kind of glance women use when no knife is handy.”
