TINA, Dayton OH

Here are 2 pics of a TINA Budding knife. Friend of mine found it. First TINA I've ever seen. German import from Dayton, OH.

Very nice! I think Tina is about the best you can get in terms of grafting knives. I just looked at an AM Leonard catalog I got recently, and the current equivalent of that knife is $150! I mean, I can get a sizeable Spyderco model in some of their best steels for that money!

I picked up a Tina grafting knife at the flea market a few years ago. When I looked it up online and found they were still available in Europe. I was quite surprised at the price. But the knife is excellent quality and the steel is outstanding. That was probably six or seven years ago and I think they were $125 or more at that time.
Browsing through a few European orchard supply house websites, it seemed that Tina was the most expensive brand any of the supply houses sold.

I have not seen one with a Dayton, OH stamp, it must have been an SFO for a hardware or orchard supply house around Dayton.
Excellent find, and a quality knife!

I read Levine's list incorrectly, Thought it said Dayton. Old eyes! It's just stamped "Germany". Sorry. Thanks for the info. J.O'.

Well, darn! I'm from the Dayton area, and I pick up anything I find from that area (there isn't much that I've found so far). I was hoping to have another lead...
