My newly acquired Robeson

I just got this Robeson yesterday. ( my 3rd Robeson). Can anyone tell me
the approx. age and kind of handle material?

I think so too, but some web site indicate the first number ( in this case an 8 ) tells
it is celluloid. Probably exceptions on every knife.
