Is this Joseph Rogers?

Just got this in an antique shop for $50 this morning and thought it a fair price. I see these marks on pretty much anything Sheffield so I’m not sure. Is this from Joseph Rogers and if so, when would it date from? Also, would this be called a folding Bowie or folding Hunter? Unfolded it’s 10” open, 6.5” closed. Thanks for your feedback.

Knife was made in India, likely post WW2. Lots of these around with spurious Sheffield markings and ridiculous marks to imitate Joseph Rodgers. Sadly, I think you paid top dollar for it. You will not find those marks on anything actually made in Sheffield.

Also the spelling of Sheffield. The first f could be an e or an f. So SHEFFIELD or SHEEFIELD.

I would say that is an old India or Pakistan job...maybe all the way back to colonial times...the overall finish is definitely not Sheffield!
