I bought this older Case knife and was wondering what the HP stood for behind the 6347? Any help is appreciated

Re: Case XX 6347 HP Question
The "HP" describes the type of secondary blades the knife has. In this case the "H" is for sheepfoot and the "P" is for the spey. The other abbreviations used on Case knives are "E" for pen and "U" for punch. You'll probably notice that none of the abbreviations have the first letter of the blade type, they all use the second letter. The reason is that of the four possible secondary blade types two start with "S" (spey, sheepfoot) and two start with "P" (pen, punch). Case made the decision to use the second letter of each blade type to designate that type, "P" sPey, "U", pUnch, "H" sHeepfoot, and "E" pEn since they are all different.
