Platts mutt

Here's an early folly of mine from a deal about 40 years ago. Pretty sure the blades are Platts and the body could be. The scales are ebony but I don't think the screws are original.The main blade pile side does have the KEEN EDGE stamp. That's the extent of my knowledge on this one. J.O'.

Screws and stubby shield = Miller Brothers frame.Bolster pin was removed and blades changed.

I fully agree Peanut. That pin is the giveaway. Do you think the screws are Miller originals. I don't. They look too big. Thanks.

Jimbo, Sadly that information was lost a few million brain cells ago. All I can tell you is that it was probably 35-49 years ago and probably in an antique or junk shop. I can say that back then I never paid much more than 6 or 8 bucks for knives.

No,those are original Miller screws.

I know what you mean. If it’s not an out of the ordinary buy for me I lose that info somewhere in brain files, Ha!
