Unknown Remington looking for help with ID

Post by yyy »

This is only my second visit to the site after joining recently, fantastic site with many helpful folks. I am brand new to this field and have many basic questions concerning some of the knives that I have been using for the last few years. I have a Remington knife and would like to know what the model number may be as I can not find one on the blades. I looked on the net and could not find one with this type of handles. I also would like to know what the handles are made of. Yeah I know, I need to get a few books. If anyone could assist it would be most appreciated.

thanks for posting that pic, I have one just like that in much worse shape, the small pen blade is broken on mine, the main blade is rusty, and the handle is cracked... nice to see what it was supposed to look like ::tu::

YYY That is a original Remington with the straight line stamp. The straight line stamp was put on there cheaper line of knives that Remington made. Nice little knife.

If I recall correctly the straight line Remington knives had no numbers. Hope this helps.
