New to me Case knife
I bought this Case XX knife. 7254 and 2007 if I read it right. The shield is not like any I have seen before. Anybody have an explanation? Thanks.

Nothing wrong with the shield, just one of many different variations Case has used over the past 20 years or so to make their knives more "collectable". I can't keep up with them all so I don't even try.

I think it's a throwback to the old Case "bowie" shield that was used from 1915 to 1925. (Look at my avatar to the right.)
