Love this blade shape

Post by Eelephant »

Love this blade shape (kind of an aggressive sheep’s foot, maybe?), but the knife itself is a little small. Would love a larger knife with the same blade type. Gotta be a single blade as well. Anyone got any ideas?

I agree a rope knife is what you seek.

Search for “rope knife” or “USCG knife”.

Look at a Schrade 175 grafting knife. Slightly larger with a marlinspike is the 735 series.

Schrade Walden ones are pre-73.

There are a few of these Titusville knives available at dealers that have a similar blade shape.

Schrade pattern number 163 is 4 7/16 inches closed, a rope knife. Like yours but big. There are millions of them out there by Schrade, but by almost all U.S. cutleries back in the day, including Kabar and KABAR, and of course the German ones. Search for rope knives anywhere you search for knives and you will find them.
