Got this bartender type knife that is only marked solingen. Anyone have any idea who made it? Thanks!

There is evidence that Solingen has been a center for cutlery going to blacksmiths around 2000 years ago. It evolved into making swords, then knives including pocket knives. Beginning in medieval times a cutlery guild system formed, centered in Solingen. It’s my understanding (read it somewhere) that 19th and 20th century guild members often made knives in their home shops, to be sold through Solingen-based companies or individually. The knife may have been one of those, made by a cutlery guild member, marked Solingen and sold individually. ::shrug::
