Big Buck Fixed Blade

A friend brought to me this big Buck fixed blade that his grandpa carried. It's a foot long. Beautiful knife but I dont know much about Buck knives. Can someone maybe tell me a little about this knife? Help date it maybe. Thanks guys!!

Hi that is a great looking Buck Frontiersman , Buck started making this knife in 1968 and are still making it today, new ones sell for about 180 dollars not much help I know , but still a great knife
