Here are 2 drop point hunters just if the bench. I need to sharpen them is all yet. One is a left handed carry. Both are dovetailed brass bolster and o-1 tool steel. Dark handle is walnut the other sassafrass.
Sheaths are stamped and deer skinned lined. Made of wicket and Craig skirting veg tan leather.

Re: 2 drop point with sheaths
I feel I've reached a place where I'm making nice sheaths that are functional. I've been puzzling over heat else I can do to improve or make them different of more special. I've done carving work and inlay at times. But not sure what other possibilities are about. Open to thoughts and constructive criticism as always
Thanks

Re: 2 drop point with sheaths
Very nice work! I’m not sure how you could improve on those sheaths. I like them a lot.
Maybe a little to deep. Sitting so deep in the sheaths I’d need a fob to pull them out

Re: 2 drop point with sheaths
I believe that your sheathes are beautiful.
I know that you are striving to do something differently in order to improve, but at some point your improvements are too small for most other people to notice. They are so nice that we don't see the flaws.
Just do what you want, as you know just how to challenge yourself for those small improvements that most of us cannot appreciate anyway. As for us, we enjoy seeing your work!

You are a artist, and I say that because if you were not you would be satisfied to slap a couple pieces of leather together and move on. You may always feel something could be improved and that is only for you to say, but from a fan of your work, I admire your craftsmanship and attention to detail.Rossr wrote: ↑Mon Aug 29, 2022 8:09 pm I feel I've reached a place where I'm making nice sheaths that are functional.
