Newburgh NY Knife Co question

I purchased this knife on an auction and I can’t find much info on it. Does anyone have any information on this knife company? 3 5/8” closed Length-

I'm not aware of any knife manufacturing companies that were in Newburgh other than Allen Cut Co. You never know though, although I'd think there'd at least be some obscure old newspaper article on the subject. The knife looks an awful lot like the Schrade Cut Co teardrop jacks, maybe it was a contract knife for a hardware store or similar. Schrade was only about 10 miles from Newburgh. Very cool knife, first one I've seen with that stamp.

Interesting stamp, never seen it either. I agree Schrade look to it.

Very odd thing - the NY appears to be in parentheses...when have you ever seen that on a tang stamp before?

It makes sense to me that it could be a contract knife for a hardware store or something on that order
