Pair of Case Buddies Back From the Spa

These two (a 32048 and a 32095) arrived here together, so I decided to post the result of the TLC I gave them with them together. As usual I was in such a rush to removing the outgassing celluloid that I forgot to take "before" pics, so the first 2 pictures are from the auction. I used Culpepper's smooth hunter green bone on the 48 and yellow composition from Kaleb's store on the 95. I think this 95 may be the first one I have had with the hook sharpener stone intact. Both have good snap and I didn't find much damage to the metal surfaces from the outgassing. However, the shield on the 48 had a lot of corrosion from the outgassing and I thought I could get away with cleaning it up and reusing it. I have done this successfully before, but boy was I ever wrong this time. As you can see, it didn't hold up very well to being recycled. Oh well, maybe I'll take this one apart again and find a new shield for it.
