Unknown case centennial edition knife

Hello,
I have tried researching this knife but can't find any like it. The knife is marked GS2063 but doesn't have the standard goldstone scales. The scales on it appear to be stone but I haven't found any that look like it.

Looks like one of the many aftermarket modifications done by Native American artists (for example David Yellowhorse although he signs his). JMO. Those are typically done in turquoise. An online search for Yellowhorse knives will find more similar to it.

Never seen anything like that coming from the factory so pretty sure it’s an aftermarket modification, of which there are thousands. Looks nicely done. Goldstone celluloid is notorious for outgassing/disintegrating so likely it’s been replaced with what you have now. These 1989 “Centennial” etched knives were released with a special shield (see below). Your knife would have had one.

Thanks for the info! I was wondering why someone would get rid of the goldstone scales but it makes more sense if they fall apart

That knife looks more akin to Santa Fe Stone works. You can look them up and give 'em a call. You'll likely need to email them a photo.
They are very accommodating, very nice.
