Any Balisong sets?

Post by wyteboy »

Does anyone know of a Balisong/butterfly knife set, that comes with a training balisong, and a real one? I want to learn how do do the tricks, and for some reason I think if I bought 2 separate knifes there would possibly be a weight difference. Where if there was a set containing both they should be about the same weight. I don't even know if the "weight" would make a difference or not.

I can't help with your questions W.B., since there doesn't seem to be a big interest in bali's on this site, but check back cuz someone with answers will eventually see your post! ::welcome:: to AAPK, BTW! 8)

I have never heard of a "training" balisong. Can't be very hard to learn, a friend's young teenagers have mastered them with real ones.

A "training" bali is simply one with a false blade, round edges, unsharpened, perhaps even made of plastic Gene, so it can be flipped around without fear of cutting one's self while learning how to "flip". 8)

Dang, whodathunkit!! I have never seen such a thing, I suppose it may be a good idea but having seen many young 'uns learn with real ones I guess it never crossed my mind.

If you go to www.dhgate.com (it's safe!) Gene, and search "Balisong knives" 95% that are listed are "trainers" and you can see them first-hand! 8)
