Al Mar Knife

Post by ldnolan »

I ran across an AL MAR knife that is marked UTILITY MODEL II on the box. I can’t find anything on this one but I did see where a Mode III sold for a pretty good price. Can I get some information on the Model II?
Approx. 3 1/8” closed.
The blade is approx. 2” long.
The tang is stamped “SEKI-JAPAN”.
The blade is engraved “AL MAR” and logo.

::welcome:: to AAPK, I.D.! ::handshake:: If I'm not mistaken your Al Mar is a rather rare model. I recently saw one online, I think it was at ebay, and it had quite a high price attached to it. I believe if you go to ebay and search items from "eprague", and/or, "twst.reb.v9eze0n", you can view theirs, I think! That's a nice knife you have, should you ever sell it be sure to get paid well and not just give it away! 8)

It's a Mode 1 AL-Mar # 2001 Blade length 2" OAL 4 1/2" Black Pakawood Handle Front Lock design by custom Makers W.T Fuller & Harvey McBurnette The Box and Blade Stamp put's it about 1980 the first stamp would have USA/ Seki Japan From 1979 to 1980
There is a series of 5 that I know of
