Help Identifying and Dating this Knife

Post by helenu »

Hi all - I have this unusual knife which has some age to it. It has a name on the blade, which looks a bit like Paul. Can anyone date or give me any info on this?
Many thanks

I can't make much at all out of the tang stamp. Paul A. Henckels was a maker that produced a good number of metal handle knives that had advertising and slogans on the handles. Paul A. Henckels knives are still being made today as far as I know. I would guess your knife may have been made in the pre WWII days. Very interesting knife.
If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.
