Burnt Chimney Knives

Hi, All!
I ran across a burnt chimney knife today and I want to know who makes them. I found on the internet where it says they are in North carolina. Just wanted to make shure that they are usa made. Thanks, Keith

I saw those somewhere, they may be made in China, just like the American Classics are made in (on) Salt River Kentucky.

That was my first impression upon seeing them, I really need to dig deeper for a more accurate response as this is based on my gut feel rather than anything definite.

This may not be right but IIRC. I read somewhere that Burnt Chimney is/was a Boker brand.

they made or produced some of the nkca youth knives in the nineties, don't know about now.

You may be correct Bill and Johnnie, I'm a bit off the target.

Not the first time nor the last I'm sure.

On eBay the knife description leave a lot to be desired. Yes, they did make some NKCA youth knives in the 90's.

After more research, I found out that they are currently made by Boker. Thanks, Thought i would share the info.

Hi, All!
I just got off the phone with a lady that answered the phone at the 800 number. The company that produced the Burnt chimney knives was the National knife Cutlery Company, They prduced them in the 1970's and 80's and did give Boker permission to produce some of them, however National knife Co. still owns the rights to them. She said that they were produced in NC. Hope this will save some headache. If there is some on the market she says that they are probally from the 70's or 80's or produced by boker in the 90's.

i gave my brother a burnt chimney stag hawkbill that i bought somewhere? it has the best stag ive ever had on a knife and was a very well built knife! i need to trade him back out of it!

A follow up call resulted in finding out that boer was indeed contracted to produce the burnt chimney knives. They were produced in the 70's and 80's and again in the 90's. They were made in soligen.
