Prayer request for grieving parents

There are times in each of our lives that rain falls, hard times come and it helps to reach out to our friends and to our God for a little support. This is the place to express those needs, concerns and situations so others in the AAPK family can keep you in their prayers.

Prayer request for grieving parents

Post by philco »

My first cousin and her husband lost their only child to suicide yesterday. I don't know a lot of details at this point but I have no doubt they are devastated and their lives will never be the same. They are in their early 70s and their daughter was 52. If you will, please take a moment to lift them up in prayer. I'd sure appreciate it.

What a tragedy!
Praying God will give them His peace since no words can surely be of comfort at such a time. ::pray::

Dear God (the giver of every good and holy gift),

Having lost several children to death, I cannot begin to fathom how devastated these people must be feeling today. While mine had no opportunity to experience life, this mature woman decided that her existence on this earth had lost its meaning. For her, there was no raison d'etre. It is clear the "abyss of loneliness" consumed her, body and soul.

Since you are the author of Creation, take her parent's hearts into your bosom and provide the comfort only you can provide. Let them know that you are in control and have a plan to help them cope with their loss. Provide them with the assurance that their lives are not in vain and that you love them with every part of your spirit. ::pray::

In Jesus' holy name we pray,
Amen

That is truly a tragedy and I'm very sorry for your loss. Prayers for everyone for peace, comfort and some measure of understanding.

In this day and age suicide seems to be an epidemic that touches most families. I lost a nephew a few years ago at the end of his freshman year of college.
I cannot begin to imagine how devastating it is for the parents.

Father,
I asked your peace and your comfort upon this couple. In spite of their circumstances Lord, let Your glory be their strength. Also Lord, we claim for them the promise made by the prophet Joel.
We ask these things in the powerful name of Jesus,
Amen

Praying.
I cannot know their pain. I have been with my brother as he and his wife buried two of their children, several years apart, so I have seen it up close.
I mourn with your cousin and your whole family, and pray for the Peace that surpasses all all understanding.
Jesus is life.
Everything else is just a hobby.

It's horribly sad that people think that taking their own life is the only choice left. I only wish they could reach out before it's too late.

I will pray for them.

Oh Heavenly Father.... It is such a sad situation to hear of anyone taking their own life. Please comfort this family in their time of grief. This is such a heart breaking time in the life of the family. Please comfort everyone whose life has been touched by this tragedy.
One day, we will understand why these things happen. But, until then, please give these, your children love and comfort.

In the precious name of our Savior, Jesus Christ we pray.
