Schrade Cutlery Company was founded in 1904 by George Schrade, and his brothers Jacob and William Schrade. In 1946 Imperial Knife Associated Companies, (IKAC; an association of Ulster Knife Co and Imperial Knife Co) purchased controlling interest in Schrade Cut Co and changed the name to Schrade Walden Cutlery. In 1973 the name was changed to Schrade Cutlery. In 2004 Schrade closed due to bankruptcy.

This forum is dedicated to the knives that are the legacy of this company. This forum is not the place to discuss the replica knives currently being imported using the Schrade name.

This fellow would not know a knife from a sweet potato but he has adopted a username to play off the esteemed and revered Gentleman Herman Williams. If that was not bad enough, every single statement that he made in the description for this knife is idiotic rubbish.

In my experience, pick bone is usually bone and not some synthetic. The non-original sheath must add a great deal to the value of this package! ::barf::

I'm having trouble getting past the all capital letter sentences
in the description of the knife.

Doesn't even have the history right. Schrade didn't buy Ulster and Imperial, Imperial and Ulster (as Kingston) bought them.
