French connection!???
I found my love for French cutlery a long time ago on a camping trip to Corsica....later in Germany and lately with Laguiole imports in FL....these French cutler's are around for a very long time in Thiers and surrounding area...my love for Rams horn handle is obvious...lol

Here is a 4 1/2" "Poyet Coussolle" liner lock Laguoile knife and sheath that i bought in a cutlery store in Le Puy, France in 1993.

Ike, that is a knife I bought from ebay some time ago just because it was so funky and still in good shape.
Ivory covers with birds head pins and springs from hell.
Lightly pitted but pitted all over. The saw is still quite sharp as is the awl.
