HUBERTUS "Handwerkermesser" ???

I have this in transit to me so forgive the poor photo. Described as a Rare Hubertus Handwerkermesser or Tradesman's Knife (a budget priced alternative) quality built but not as expensive. Hoping this is a diamond in the ruff. Has the Hubertus Tang Stamp but plain bolsters without the groves, synthetic Stag Scales and stainless liners instead of brass. Your input is valued.

Is that how they reduced the overhead costs? I like the idea of a Carbon Steel blade. Celluloid scales? Hmmmmmm.

Question: right now I only have a picture. Once it arrives how does one determine if its celluloid or not?? This will be the first Hubertus I've encountered with this type scale only come across Italian examples with scales that look the same. None with signs of deteriation. Whats the preferred way to store them? I'll probably sell it.

Rub the scales hard and briskly with a cloth. If they smell of camphor, they are celluloid.
