Case Dale Earnhardt Five Time Winston Cup Tribute

First post on this forum and I am curious about this Case collection of five trappers and a bowie. I have a Parker & Henley price guide with no reference other than the 20th anniversary Winston Cup sets. Anyone have any ideas of the year and value?

Houston Price's book shows that 1000 sets were made...likely right after the 5th title in 1991 (1992?), as there were sets for 6 titles (Frost) and 7 titles (Case) as well.
There is a collector value listed as $750.00.

Maybe some of the Case guys will have more information for you.

I appreciate the reply El Lobo. Is that a premier reference one should have concerning Case knives?

IMO, the books are good reference material, but not particularly about what someone can buy and/or sell a knife for. Ebay has changed the valuation system. Again, IMO.

That does help. You are exactly on the button about values. eBay has opened the market up to supply and demand, and if you are collecting one pattern, sometimes you have to pay whatever the market indicates. It's hard to have a published reference or price guide that is not obsolete.
